Feature
Zirconia fiber is a kind of polycrystalline refractory fiber material. The relative density is 5.6 ~ 6.9. It has good chemical stability and oxidation resistance, low thermal conductivity, impact resistance, and sinterability. Due to the high melting point, non oxidation and other high temperature characteristics of ZrO2, ZrO2 fiber has a higher service temperature than other refractory fibers such as alumina fiber, mullite fiber, aluminum silicate fiber, etc. Zirconia fiber is used for a long time in an ultra-high temperature oxidation atmosphere above 1500 ℃. The maximum use temperature is up to 2200 ℃, and even at 2500 ℃, it can still maintain a complete fiber shape, and has stable high-temperature chemical properties, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, thermal shock resistance, non volatilization, and no pollution. It is currently the world's top refractory fiber material.
Application
Zirconia consists of oxygen and zirconium. It is mainly divided into clinozoite and zircon.
The clinozoite is a monoclinic crystal with yellowish white.
Zircon is a deep mineral of igneous rock, with light yellow, brown yellow, yellow green and other colors, specific gravity of 4.6-4.7, hardness of 7.5, strong metallic luster, and can be used as raw material for ceramic glaze.
It is mainly used for piezoelectric ceramic products, daily ceramics, refractory materials and zirconium bricks, zirconium tubes and crucibles used for smelting precious metals. It is also used to produce steel and non-ferrous metals, optical glass and zirconia fiber. It can be used as an efficient high temperature insulation material.
